Dyke McCord - Senior Minister

Dyke McCord was called to serve as the Senior Minister of the Church of Christ at Manor Woods in 2001, and is only the second full time Senior Minister in our church’s history. He met his wife, Sarah Beth at Milligan College and God has since blessed them with two boys. Before arriving in Maryland, they served the Worthington Christian Church in Columbus, Ohio in an internship position after which Dyke served as the Youth Minister at First Christian Church in Canton, Ohio. He is obsessed with Jesus and has a passion to serve God's family.

 

 

Mark Lewis - Associate Minister (Worship and Music)

Mark joined the Manor Woods ministry staff in 1997, after serving with congregations in Tarpon Springs and St. Petersburg, Florida. A native Hoosier, Mark is a graduate of Milligan College. He’s married to Colette, a Registered Nurse he met while in ministry in Florida, and they live in Olney with their cockatiel and two cats. Mark is passionate about utilizing a variety of styles and elements in creatively planning and leading worship services.

 

Bryce Cooper- Associate Minister(Youth and College/Career)

Bryce joined the staff at Manor Woods in 2011, after receiving his degree from Emmanuel School of Religion in Johnson City, TN and working in a student ministry position at First Christian Church. He and his wonderful wife, Mavryn, met in undergraduate school in Kansas.Their family increased recently, with the addition ofTsion and Eyerusalem,two beautiful girls who are always full of energy. Bryce loves his Kansas Jayhawks and Chipotle. He is passionate about bringing students to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior and believes that their generation is going to change the world for God.

 

 

Bethany Hamilton - Director of Children's Ministry

Bethany began attending Manor Woods at the age of three, and has been active in many aspects of the church during her lifetime. Starting at age 16, she became a regular volunteer in the Children’s Ministry. Bethany received a BS degree in Business Administration from Milligan College in 2006, and her Masters degree in Teaching (Elementary Special Education) from Towson University in 2010. After four years of teaching in the public school system, Bethany was called to work full time at Manor Woods. She began a Residency Program working for Children’s Ministry in the summer of 2011. She became the full time Director of Children’s Ministry on January 1, 2012. She is the proud mom to an adorable 3-year-old Puggle named Lola.

 

 

 

Elly Hamilton - Office Manager

Elly Hamilton joined the staff of Manor Woods as in July 2010, in a part time position that became full time in November 2011. Elly’s duties include management of finances and payroll and oversight of communications and the CCMW facility. Elly and her husband, Pat, have been members of CCMW for more than twenty-four years, both active in multiple ministries of the church. Pat and Elly live in Columbia, MD, where they joined the ranks of the “empty nesters,” when the last of their three children moved into a new home of his own in 2011.

 

 

 

Kathy Sponseller - Administrative Assistant

Kathy has been a member of Manor Woods since 1992. In June of 2000 she came on staff as our Administrative Assistant. She has a wide range of duties and responsibilities keeping the office running smoothly. She has been married to Joe for 30 years. They have one grown daughter, Emily. Kathy and Joe enjoy taking weekend get-aways to the big apple and to the Amish countryside, going to shows, antiquing, and just spending time together.
