Annual Committed Missions Giving:
Bajio Christian Mission, Honduras - Mark & Joy Hoff
We support Mark & Joy Hoff in their work to train nationals to preach the Gospel in Honduras. Our student ministry has sent a group in the past. Jason Boice spent three months on a short-term mission trip with them.
Central India Christian Mission - Dr. Ajai Lal
Manor Woods has been a long-time supporter of this critical outreach to an increasingly persecuted church in India. Support will go toward training evangelists, buying Bibles translated in Hindi, and essential medical care for the clinic.
Chaplaincy Endorsement Commission
Help support our chaplains "in the field" who are facing extra demands with the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. Ken Meade (Elder, retired Senior Minister) serves as one of the commissioners.
Christ in Youth
These high-impact conferences challenge our students to go deeper in their relationship with Jesus. As a result of CCMW students attending CIY, we've seen many baptized, go into vocational ministry, attend Christian colleges and commit to living as radical Christ followers.
Christian Churches Disability Ministry
Our support helps provide a safe home in a healthy Christian environment, as well as developmental programs for handicapped individuals.
Eastern Christian Conference
Eastern Christian Conference exists to inspire Christians toward a deeper commitment to Jesus Christ and excellence in leading His church. The ECC 2012 will be held in Hershey, PA, November 9-11, 2012.
Emmanuel Christian Seminary
Emmanuel Christian Seminary is one of our graduate schools providing training for ministers, missionaries and Christian workers in many areas of ministry in the US and around the world.
Fellowship of Christian Athletes
FCA seeks to impact the world for Jesus Christ through the influence of athletes and coaches and serves as Manor Woods' gateway into public schools, which allows our students to share and discuss their faith openly. We have students leading FCA Huddles in seven schools.
Indian Lake Christian Camp
This is the camp attended by Manor Woods' youth. Support keeps the camp operating in order to provide a safe, rustic environment for Christian camping experiences. Dyke McCord (Senior Minister), Bryce Cooper (Youth Minister) and Bob Rudnicki (Deacon) are involved in this ministry.
Mid-Atlantic Christian University (Formerly Roanoke Bible College)
MACU is an undergraduate school which trains Christians for ministry. Our most recent graduates were Glen & Heather Layfield.
Milligan College
Promoting Christian education as "the Hope of the world," Milligan sends educated believers, church workers and ministers into the work force and world. Most of our ministerial staff members (Dyke McCord, Mark Lewis, and Bethany Hamilton) are graduates, and many from Manor Woods have attended or are attending Milligan College. John Boice (Deacon) and Sarah Beth McCord serve on the Advisory Committee.
Mosaic Christian Church, Elkridge, MD
Mosaic is a newer church plant that is reaching out and ministering to the people in the Arundel Mills, MD, area. Mosaic began worshipping in a theater but has now moved to a newly renovated warehouse facility in Elkridge, MD.
Mountain Mission School
Our support helps provide housing, schooling and programs for needy children. Several from Manor Woods have graduated from MMS.
North American Christian Convention
This national convention of Christian Churches/Churches of Christ meets annually for inspiration and the preaching of God's Word.
NorthPointe Christian Church
NorthPointe is the first Christian Church/Church of Christ in Rhode Island, reaching out in the challenging New England region. Dyke McCord serves on the Partnership Team for this church plant.
Orchard Group (Church Planting)
The Orchard Group coordiantes support and helps launch many new church plants in the East and specifically in Maryland.
Polish Christian Ministries - Adam Sneigon
Adam Sneigon is the minister in Lidzbark Welski, Poland, for whom we provide full financial support. Our Senior Minister, Dyke McCord, visited with Adam and the church in Poland in 2008. We are thrilled they were able to purchase a building in 2008 for $60,000, which was the amount raised in the 2006 Christmas Offering at Manor Woods.
Polish Christian Ministries - General Fund
This oversight ministry provides direction, encouragement and financial support for preachers and churches all across Poland. Paul Howey (Deacon) and Ken Meade (Elder) serve on the Board of Directors.
Restore Church, Silver Spring, MD
A new church plant to be launched on October 7, 2012. Aaron and Karrie Thomas are the church planters. Manor Woods is providing financial support and several members from our church will be actively involved with the starting phase of this new church.
Revolution Christian Church, Annapolis, MD
Revolution is the first Christian Church/Church of Christ bringing the good news and serving the people of Annapolis. Various members of CCMW have participated in Revolution.
Designated Missions Giving
In addition to funds included in the regular church budget, people are also encouraged to give individually to any of the missions regularly supported by Manor Woods. Designations to any missions not on our regularly supported list must first be approved by the Elders. Individuals may designate a special gift to missions anytime during the year. Many special needs within our supported missions will also be made known to the congregation so that individuals can be aware of the most pressing needs.
Our goal is to make missions come alive for every person at Manor Woods.
