Mission

The Church of Christ at Manor Woods exists to LOVE people into God’s family, LIFT them up toward spiritual maturity, and LAUNCH them out to do Christ’s work in the world.

Objectives

To fulfill our mission, and in accordance with our core values, the Church of Christ at Manor Woods will focus on the following objectives over the next few years, confident that with God’s leading we will achieve our desired outcomes while maintaining our commitment to each other, our surrounding community, and our world.
1. Determine how each ministry area and small group fits into the Manor Woods mission. Each ministry and small group leader will develop a short statement of purpose, objectives and outcomes to achieve over the next 3-5 years.
2. Design and implement process for helping each member through each stage of Christian spiritual development.
3. Plan and execute a renovation of the Manor Woods facility in a manner that will allow the congregation to fulfill its mission to the greatest extent possible over the next 10-20 years. This process will include concept development, cost-benefit analysis, architectural planning, fund-raising and construction.

Desired Outcomes

We will have three services, at least two of which will be at or near capacity and with average weekly attendance exceeding 500.

We will see a significant increase in both the total number of baptisms each year and the percentage of baptized believers in the congregation.

We will see a 50% increase in the number of people attending small groups, as defined to include Sunday School, home Bible studies, ministry teams and all other groups that meet regularly and are engaged in fulfilling some or all aspects of the Manor Woods mission.

We will have improved our process for developing disciples, as evidenced by increases in per capita giving, service project participation, and number of new leaders emerging among the elders and deacons and within the various ministry areas

We will see an increase in the percentage of our facility space used each week in fulfilling the Manor Woods mission.
