Worship and Music

People of the congregation serve in a variety of ways to support our worship gatherings. Musical opportunities exist not only in our Adult Choir and Orchestral Ensemble, but also in the Handbell Choir and Children’s Choir. Working behind the scenes are those who add creative visuals through the Theme Development ministry; prepare the Lord’s Supper for every service; keep the Baptistry ready; and control sound, lights and projection on our Technical Crew. In the Lobby, our Greeters and Ushers are ready to extend a warm, friendly welcome to all.

At Manor Woods, our Sunday Worship Services are designed to provide a welcoming setting where those who come can encounter God and join with others in expressing praise to Him. Scripture, prayer, communion, preaching, music, video, and visual/decorative arts are among the elements that are utilized to engage the congregation in vibrant worship.

The varied musical styles employed in the Worship Services reflect the varied backgrounds of the members of our congregation and community. Contemporary praise songs, modern hymns, old-time gospel music, and the tried-and-true hymns of our heritage are all sung with the leadership of our choir and instrumentalists.
